Round portrait of the institute's chief curator

Dr. Elias Vornel
Chief Curator of Domestic Antiquity

The Mediavornel Institute of Residential History operates as a digital museum exhibit, dedicated to tracing the sociological, architectural, and industrial milestones that have shaped the human concept of home.

We believe that residential architecture is the most intimate artifact of human history. A cathedral tells you how a society worshipped, but a terraced house tells you how they lived, struggled, and engineered their daily existence. Our digital archives act as a historical guide for architecture students, historians, and anyone fascinated by the structures that shelter us.

Preserving the Blueprint

Our ongoing project catalogues structural cross-sections from early neolithic organic shelters to mid-century modernist steel frames, rendering them into accessible, soft-lit 3D models for study.
